Communications Manager

Company Description Terraforming, an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization, is based in Novi Sad, Serbia. Founded in 2008, it partners with contributors and associates across Europe to promote and improve education about the Holocaust and combat antisemitism, antigypsyism, and other forms of xenophobia. Terraforming develops educational methodologies and teaching materials, combining contemporary pedagogy best practices with new-media technologies. The organization empowers educators, librarians, archivists, and NGO activists through training programs, teaching materials, and international exchanges. With a proven track record of successful development and implementation of international projects, Terraforming strives for cross-sectoral international cooperation and exchange, promoting human rights, diversity, and tolerance. Role Description This is a full-time permanent position with a six-month probation period for a Communications Manager at Terraforming. The Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, managing public relations, drafting press releases, and handling internal and external communications. Additionally, the role includes coordinating media outreach, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and preparing communication materials, event organization and coordination with international partners, maintenance of websites and social media channels, and other related tasks. The role includes project management, proposal and report writing. This hybrid role is based in Novi Sad, Serbia, with some work from home allowed. Qualifications Experience in developing and implementing communication strategiesProficiency in public relations, media outreach, and stakeholder managementExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to draft press releases and prepare communication materialsExperience in project management and cross-sectoral collaborationExperience of the NGO sector is a plusWe must share the respect towards fundamental human and democratic valuesBachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fieldFluency in English and Serbian is required
