Fixed Term Contract for 14 months until 31/03/2027 due to funding. Wales has the highest prevalence of diabetes in the UK, with over 220,000 people living with the condition – projected to reach one in 11 adults by 2035. The Tackling Diabetes Together Programme brings together NHS Wales, clinicians, third-sector partners and communities to drive urgent, system-wide change in diabetes prevention and care.This is an exciting opportunity to join our communications team and help tackle one of Wales's most pressing public health challenges. You'll support the delivery of communications strategies and campaigns that connect stakeholders, amplify patient voices, and empower both healthcare professionals and the public.Working with the Communications and Engagement Manager and Engagement lead, you'll help manage partnerships with key stakeholders including those with lived experience, develop compelling campaigns informed by behavioural science, and undertake robust evaluations of our communications activities.If you're a communications professional that is passionate about using communications to drive change in public health, we'd love to hear from you.You will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of public health communications strategies and communications plans in Public Health Wales.The Main Duties Of This Job AreSupport the communications manager in the development and delivery of communications strategies, action plans and campaigns Manage partnerships with key stakeholders, including those with lived experience Undertake robust evaluations for communications activities Candidates will be assessed on skills, behaviours, knowledge and attitude relevant to the role.We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences and welcome applicants who wish to work on a flexible basis.We are Public Health Wales – the national public health agency in Wales.
