Role: 12-month fixed-term Maternity cover Based: Remote with occasional travel to SheffieldSalary: £25-28k dependent on experience **no agencies please**Role overviewWe are looking for an experienced communicator looking to take ownership and lead on key communications activities to support the UK glass industry.Working as part of the Federation team, with a strong focus on digital, you will develop effective communications activities to drive engagement across multiple channels for British Glass.From crafting social content and supporting paid campaigns, to shaping email communications and building community engagement, you’ll be part of a collaborative team making a real impact.Main responsibilitiesDevelop and deliver the company’s content strategy Create content and manage its distributionCreate engaging posts for social platforms and draft content including web news/comment piecesWork with colleagues on the production of resources/publications to ensure these are on brand and effectively distributed/promotedCreate brand toolkit assets eg templates for social media graphics, emails/email signatures; office templates (Word, PowerPoint etc) and style sheets/guidelines for web content etcMeasure and report on the impact of communications campaigns, making use of web, e-mail and social media analytics. Contribute to setting appropriate measure effectiveness of content in line with campaign/team/organisational goalsProvide support to corporate events and training days including promotion and collateralWebsite management and agency liaison Liaise with and answer enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations. About youWe are looking for someone who is a self-motivated individual and is highly organised with strong experience of planning and delivering projects in a timely matter. You will be a fast and effective relationship builder across all levels and diversities. You will:be experienced in delivering campaigns across digital channels (essential)have more than three years’ experience in a similar role – either in-house/agency (essential)be able to write engaging and effective copy for marketing collateral, editorial and information pieces for digital and print (essential)hold or be working towards a CIM/CIPR or equivalent qualification in either marketing, PR or communications (highly desirable)be a proven communicator (essential)willing to undertake regular CPD (highly desirable)be a good team worker and able to work with a range of disciplines (essential)experienced in working with digital tools including CRM systems, social media scheduling, design software (minimum Canva, Adobe Creative Suite desirable) and email marketing (essential) About the companyBritish Glass is the trade association representing the UK Glass Industry, including the interests of the big glass melters, as well as the wider glass supply chain.
