Job MissionAs the Communications Partner for Roche Egypt affiliate, You act as a selfless leader who is always excited about transferring knowledge to others and able to shape the external environment through streamlining engagement with external stakeholders; by having one point of contact as an interface with the external healthcare & governmental entities, that shapes our partnership better outcomes for the Egyptian patients.You will also be accountable for engaging with all the relevant stakeholders to advocate for faster and comprehensive access to our innovations & enhancing Roche’s reputation in leading healthcare innovation.Your ImpactCorporate Reputation & Brand:Proactively identify emerging and significant reputation and business critical issues, alert concerned internal teams about them and address any issues. Build and maintain a broad network of relevant stakeholders, key influencers, key media influencers and thought experts in relevant areas. Translate global positions and projects into local strategies and execute the respective plans. Cross-functional collaboration with the internal team to design and implement proactive strategic campaigns that help advance Roche's goals. Ensure a clear product/segment position and associated messaging. Expertly and collaboratively developing, implementing and managing the annual Communications Plan including strategy, and tactics. Accountable to build corporate reputation communications strategy & Governmental Affairs partnership Communications StrategyAdvocacy:Expertly developing and finalizing press releases, media relations materials, Q&A documents, etc. Cross-functionally and strategically work with internal stakeholders such as communications, legal, business, marketing, and the broader policy teams. Develop Disease Area Public awareness, Multi-channel Communications strategy: Launching Website, Social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn & Instagram) and Partnership for CSR activities. Connect with other affiliates within the region and Pharma International to identify existing scalable solutions and help achieve shared outcomes. Internal Communications & Employees Engagement:Developing the internal communication strategy to ensure a high level of engagement for all internal employees. Collaborates closely with the P&C Head & GM to align on the key annual organizational and cultural themes & focus areas or any other messaging that needs a strong comms planLicense to Operate:Ensure integrity, compliance & maintaining our license to operate in any external engagements, partnerships, collaborations, interfaces, decisions, negotiations, and contracting in Egypt. Ensure that the function proactively engages with internal compliance and legal resources to ensure full compliance before taking action and/or committing Roche to activities externallyWho You AreYou hold a degree in bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Political Science, Marketing, or related fieldYou bring 7-10 years of experience in internal/external communications, public affairs, or external relations— in communications leadership roles within regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, pharma, medical devices, oil & gas, tobacco)You demonstrate proven experience in ability to think out of the box and seek new opportunities You have ability to successfully navigate in the legislative environment and link it to Roche strategyExcellent communication skills to facilitate complex information messagingEntrepreneurial attitude, e.g. challenges the status quo and takes calculated risksEncourage highly motivated and effective teams with a performance-led cultureAbility to prioritize across multiple competing prioritiesExcellent networking abilities & exceptional ability in working across matrix organizations and leading cross-functional initiativesEmpathetic, with exceptional interpersonal, coaching, and change management skillsFluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
