Communications Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and creative COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST to join their team in North Houston! This role is ideal for someone with a passion for crafting clear, engaging, and effective written content across a variety of platforms.This role is available on a temp-to-potential-hire basis. Compensation is currently ranging $20-$23/hr with a 40-hour week. This role is on-site so attendance in The Woodlands Area is required.The Communications Specialist will play a key role in supporting both internal and external communications initiatives, with a PRIMARY FOCUS on WRITING, EDITING, and CONTENT CREATION.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, write, and edit content for internal communications, press releases, newsletters, website pages, email campaigns, social media, and other public-facing materialsCollaborate with departments across the organization to gather information and translate complex topics into clear and accessible messagesEnsure consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across all written materialsAssist in developing communication plans and strategies for campaigns and initiativesMonitor industry trends and identify opportunities to enhance communications strategiesREQUIREMENTS:2+ years of professional experience in communications, writing, or content development OR completed Bachelor’s Degree.Proficiency with platforms such as Microsoft Office, REQUIRED.Familiarity with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, HUGE PLUS.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Portfolio of writing samples showcasing a range of communication styles and audiences, minimum 2-3 samples requiredNEXT STEPS?Interested and ready to apply?
