Company DescriptionSUMA is a startup helping freelancers, founders, and small business owners manage their paid subscriptions. Our goal: make subscription management stress-free, transparent, and smart, so founders can get back control over their time, money and mental space to focus on what truly needs their attention.We pitched SUMA in May at a StartUp Weekend in Algarve and won, since then we've been building in public, connecting with founders and developing a community-led product. Our mvp is already live since early October and we will be present with a booth at WebSummit, pitching at the StartUp Showcase and hosting an experience throughout the week, as well as some side events.Role DescriptionWe’re looking for four volunteers to support us as Community & Communications Assistants during Web Summit and Portugal Tech Week (Nov 10–14, 2025).This is a one week part-time pop-up volunteer/internship opportunity, perfect for univeristy students, aspiring founders or community builders who want to get hands-on experience during the most dynamic and fun week around entrepreneruship, innovation, startups and community in Lisbon.You’ll collaborate directly with Flor Dos Reis (Co-founder of SUMA, founder of Flourish Mode & LOFT Community) and Polly (Founder of Kuski Creative Studio), working in a fun & fast-paced, creative environment surrounded by founders, innovators, and community leaders.What you’ll do:Engage with founders, freelancers and entrepreneurs around Web Summit and side events, talk to people, capture stories, and represent SUMA with energy and authenticity.Support community engagement through WhatsApp and social media, answering questions and keeping the conversation flowing.Create content (photos, short videos, event snippets, interviews) to share the SUMA spirit throughout the week.Help with some activations, collaborations and side events during the week.Who you are:Energetic, curious, and comfortable talking to people.Authentic and confident, not afraid to start a conversation.A natural communicator who enjoys storytelling and social media.Someone who prefers action over perfection, a doer, not an overthinker.Interested in startups, community building, and creative work.What you'll get:Real-world experience with founders and creative entrepreneurs.Access to side events and the local startup ecosystem during Web Summit week.Access to mentorship and guidance from founders and experienced community builders after the summit.A badge of participation and visibility across SUMA’s platforms.An unforgettable week of learning, networking, and hands-on action.Type: Volunteer / Internship (Unpaid)Location: Lisbon, Portugal (hybrid, onsite and remotely, 10–14 Nov 2025)Language: English (Portuguese is a plus)
