This role requires extensive travel - up to 90% of your time - to support operations in different markets, conduct site visits, cover routes when needed, and attend industry events. About the RoleThe Director of Operations is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day valet trash operations across all CCS markets. You will work closely with our Leadership Team, Regional and District Managers, and front-line porters to make sure service never skips a beat.
This role is both strategic and hands-on - one day you might be leading a company-wide initiative or meeting with apartment association leaders, and the next you may be stepping in to cover a route to ensure no community is left without service. What You'll Be DoingLead Operations: Oversee all valet trash services across multiple markets, ensuring every community receives reliable, high-quality service. Develop Teams:
Recruit, train, and mentor Regional and District Managers, Team Leads, and porters to uphold CCS standards and grow into future leaders. Client Success: Build strong relationships with property managers and management companies by conducting regular site visits and responding quickly to feedback or escalated issues. Problem-Solving on the Spot: Support teams with onsite challenges such as equipment breakdowns, employee incidents, and coverage issues - ensuring service never misses a night. Growth & Expansion: Partner with ownership and the sales team to help expand CCS's footprint through referrals, industry events, association networking, and trade shows. Hands-On Coverage:
Step in when needed to run routes, cover absences, or assist in new market launches - sometimes requiring overnight travel. Operational Excellence: Support scheduling, payroll review, and reporting processes while leading operations calls and implementing new procedures. Industry Engagement: Represent CCS at apartment associations, trade shows, and community events to enhance our visibility and reputation. What We're Looking For5+ years of leadership experience in operations, facilities management, logistics, or a related field. Demonstrated success managing multi-site operations and distributed teams. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both clients and employees.
Hands-on, flexible leadership style with the ability to jump in where needed. Comfortable with extensive travel (up to 100% at times), including overnight stays. Ability to work evenings and weekends as business demands. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle use requirements.
