The successful store manager does this in alignment with CommunityAid’s mission, core values and behaviors, and while serving and leading the rest of the store management team and employees.

Supervision of Store Management TeamsMotivates and develops store management teams using core behaviors, training, ongoing developmental coaching, standard operating procedures, and performance reviews. Provides guidance to the store management team on optimizing people leadership and front/back operations.
Staffing and Leadership DevelopmentOversees the recruitment, hiring, and new employee integration process to ensure stores are staffed with people who fit CommunityAid’s culture and core values. Monitors staffing levels and partners with the Operations Manager and Human Resources to manage staffing requirements. Focuses on talent development to prepare future Assistant Store Managers, Operations Managers, and Store Managers. Partners with all departments to drive, support and communicate key business goals, initiatives, and mission to all stakeholders. Operation OversightImplements and ensures accountability for policies, procedures, and operations standards.
Oversees safety in the workplace to create a work environment where all employees can thrive both in their work and working relationships. Financial OversightDelivers key financial objectives with a focus on labor turns, revenue, optimized labor management, and spend control. Collaborates with the Operations Manager to implement action plans to ensure budget, financial goals, and production needs are met. On-Brand Operations and Customer Experience –Drives exceptional customer service initiatives at every customer interaction point within operations (donation door, register, sales floor).
Partners with their leader and the Marketing team to build brand awareness, drive sales and traffic through company initiatives and effective in-store events. Compliance and Regulatory Activities-Takes ownership to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, as well as CommunityAid policies and procedures, and ensures these are clearly communicated and followed by Assistant Store Managers, Operations Manager, and employees.
