Please note that this role is a contract starting 2nd February until 19th March 2026.The LOC is looking for two (2) Coordinator roles in Perth.This role will be hired under a service agreement and the successful applicant will need to have an ABN.AFC WOMEN’S ASIAN CUP 2026 LOC OFFICEThe Kick-off StoryThe Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™. This marks Australia's second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™.You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup™ in Australia.This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four. We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates women's football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly.If you need assistance in applying for this role, please reach out to our People team.Your Next Big MatchReporting to the Competition Operations Manager – Perth, the Competition Operations Coordinators will be key members of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 LOC, and work in close collaboration with the AFC General Coordinator, LOC Competitions team, local stakeholders including venue management and pitch consultants, and other key individuals responsible for delivering relevant administrative coordination across Competition areas in Stadiums.The roles will service the AFC and LOC Competition requirements for the duration of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup at both selected Perth stadiums.This is a fixed term contract-based role ideal for a dynamic and experienced candidate with a proven track record working in elite sport and at large-scale temporary events, who has exceptional stakeholder management skills and is a strategic thinker with prioritisation and communication skills.Roles & ResponsibilitiesSupport the operations of stadium preparations and match day delivery, as it relates to Competition areas in Stadium.Coordinate logistics relating to youth programme, sports equipment checks, ice, catering and laundering requirements. Provide support to the Competition Operations Manager and AFC General Coordinator in ensuring all competition areas are always delivered as per AFC regulations and at an international standard.Manage and support a team of volunteers, confirm schedules for each day and manage workforce absences in close alignment with the Competition Operations Manager.Ensuring that all requests related to Competition areas in Stadiums are tracked and actioned through the prescribed reporting processes.Any other tasks related to Competition Operations in Stadiums. Previous experience in Competition Management or Sport Event Operations. Previous involvement within football as an administrator will be highly regarded.Excellent communicator with strong planning, organizational and administrative skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to consistently deliver at a high standard. Able to work closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, while being self-motivated and comfortable working independently. Capable of making decisions using problem-solving skills and exercising sound judgement to achieve results. Comfortable working in an international, demanding and changing environment. Able to adapt to and work well with people of other cultures and backgrounds. High energy levels, exceptional planning and organizational skills, strong negotiation and facilitation skills, excellent communication and presentation skills and positive relationship management abilities.
