This position will work closely with the Bogota-based Completions & Workover Manager and our Calgary-based VP Drilling & Completions.The primary objective will be to provide functional guidance to and share technical expertise with our team of Completions Engineers – in order to design, plan and execute high quality well completion, re-completion and workover activities safely, consistently and cost efficiently. The successful candidate will focus on continuous improvement, and identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions, to elevate our organizational delivery.What you will do: Provide leadership to rapidly improve Parex’s completion designs and operations.Benchmark current performance and put in an external context.Identify technical and process enhancement opportunities – collaborating across disciplines.Champion and drive change.Form significant cross-border and interdisciplinary relationships.Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory and company standards.Capture and share lessons learned.Train and mentor Completions Engineers.What you must have:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.Minimum of 15 years of well completions related experience, with good exposure to field operations.Demonstrated track record of leading step changes in performance in a high growth or start up environment. Ability and resilience to challenge the status quo.Reputation as a highly motivated and action-oriented professional, with proven aptitude to effectively manage multiple tasks and changing priorities, often under pressure and within time constraints.International conventional completions experience is preferred. Predominantly unconventional experience with the right mindset and track record will be considered.Strong communication and interpersonal relationship building skills.Leadership and mentorship background or aptitude.Proven ability to collaborate, think critically, and generate solutions.Spanish written and verbal language skills are an asset.Where you’ll be working:This position is located in our Corporate Headquarters at 2700 Eighth Ave Place, West Tower in Calgary, Alberta T2P 1G1, Canada.Parex’s Calgary has an in-office work schedule Monday to Thursday (in support of fostering team integration and cross-functional collaboration), with the option to work remotely from home on Friday.This role also requires frequent travel to our Bogota office (approximately 30%).Posting Closes: November 19, 2025Posting Number: PXT20251104-5Please apply to the posting via LinkedIn.We appreciate your interest in working with us, however, only those applicants selected for interviews will be contacted.
