Compliance ManagerLocation: CheltenhamWe are working with a leading law firm seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join its growing Risk & Compliance Team.This newly created position represents an exciting opportunity to strengthen the firm’s compliance framework and ensure it continues to meet the evolving regulatory and legal standards governing its work.As part of a small, collaborative team, you’ll enjoy a broad and varied remit, supporting all aspects of law firm compliance while contributing to strategic initiatives that shape the firm’s future.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Director of Risk & Compliance in developing, implementing, and enhancing compliance frameworks, policies, and controls.Conduct and review CDD/KYC across a diverse client base, including higher-risk sectors, and help define the firm’s risk appetite.Lead and contribute to risk assessments, policy drafting, and continuous improvement projects in response to evolving regulatory requirements.Act as a trusted deputy to the Director, providing expertise, guidance, and mentoring to junior colleagues.Deliver firmwide compliance training to promote understanding and adherence to policies and procedures.Lead and manage key compliance projects, supporting the strategic growth and effectiveness of the compliance function.Key RequirementsYou’ll bring substantial experience in a compliance role within a UK law firm, typically at least five years, and a strong working knowledge of:SRA Standards & RegulationsAnti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing Anti-bribery and corruption complianceData protection and cyber securityYou’ll also have proven experience conducting CDD/KYC, managing higher-risk client onboarding, and preparing Suspicious Activity Reports.
