Join us in shaping the future of fintech.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager who is not just experienced, but visionary—someone who thrives in the fast-moving fintech and digital payments space and who can lead with both precision and passion.Based in our Sofia office, you will be at the center of one of the most dynamic industries of our time, helping us ensure that our innovation continues to grow responsibly, ethically, and in full compliance with global regulations.This is not just a job—it’s a chance to leave your mark on the future of digital finance.What You’ll DoAs our Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will:Lead & Inspire – Organize, mentor, and grow the Regulatory Compliance department, setting the standard for excellence.Advise & Safeguard – Be the trusted advisor to management and business leaders, providing clear regulatory and compliance guidance.Stay Ahead of Change – Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes, design roadmaps, and deliver impactful trainings to keep our teams ahead of the curve.Collaborate with Authorities – Liaise with regulators, external legal advisors, and auditors, ensuring transparency and trust.Shape Policy – Draft, review, and enforce policies and procedures across regional subsidiaries.Drive Assurance – Design and execute annual compliance plans, perform audits, and uncover opportunities for stronger governance.Report & Influence – Produce high-level compliance reports for the Board of Directors and the Group Audit Committee.Manage Risk – Conduct compliance risk assessments, maintain robust control frameworks, and ensure timely reporting.In short—you will be the guardian of our integrity and the driver of our compliance excellence.What We’re Looking ForWe are searching for someone who combines deep regulatory expertise with strategic vision and a genuine passion for fintech innovation.Required:5+ years in regulatory compliance, audit, or risk functions.OR3+ years in a managerial role, leading teams or senior projects.Strong knowledge of European regulatory compliance frameworks.Background in merchant acquiring or financial product compliance.Expertise in AML/CTF and MiFID legislation (EU/national level).Proven ability to collaborate with authorities, auditors, and senior stakeholders.Outstanding communication, organizational, and project management skills.Preferred:University degree in Law, Banking, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s in European Banking/Payments Regulation, Risk Management, or similar is a strong plus).Professional compliance certifications.What We OfferAt Up Trend, we don’t just offer jobs—we offer careers that matter.
