Computer Repair Technician

Do you love technology? Do you have experience repairing computers? KVS Computers is looking for a computer repair technician. We are in search of a qualified individual to fill a Computer Repair Technician position. This individual must be motivated, reliable, and have a “can-do” and positive attitude to help our company grow.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Engage with customers to gain detailed knowledge of repair needs (both on the phone and in person)Evaluating various electronic equipment and components to identify the problemRepairing and/or updating existing systemsSetting up new computer hardware and associated peripherals (such as printers)Troubleshoot and provide solutions to repair common software problemsPerforming basic computer processes such as virus removal scans & data transfersPerforming hardware upgrade/optimizationRepairing / dismantling electronic devices including desktops, laptops, & smartphonesProviding basic on-site customer repairs at customer’s location (personal consumer and small business)Courteous and professional customer serviceAll other duties as assignedQualifications:High School educationBasic computer knowledge required (Experience preferred but not required)Strong attention to detail with ability to document findingsStrong verbal and written skillsProfessional communication and excellent interpersonal skillsAdvanced understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking and internet usage.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft OfficeOpenness to learn new technologiesPC and Mac proficiencyAbility to multitask and prioritize workloadAbility to work well and interact with others in a team-oriented fashionEffective time management skillsWillingness and ability to work independentlyAbility to lift up to 60 lbs.Maintain a valid driver’s licenseWe are looking to fill a full-time day shift Monday-Friday 10am-6pm.KVS Computers, located in Hughesville, PA is a computer repair/refurbishing shop as well as one of the area’s only certified electronics recycler.
