WWT prides itself on having a continued development of strong workplace culture, creativity and innovation, workforce diversity & global cultural awareness.With our continued drive to build a high achieving, collaborative, fair and enjoyable culture we have been rated in Fortunes Top 100 best places to work for the tenth year in a row.World Wide Technology EMEA NL has a very exciting opportunity, as a Configuration Technician II, to join our talented and friendly EIC team based in Schiphol area, Netherlands.Configuration Technician II performs production level logical configurations and testing, follow detailed work instructions provide by Engineering teams, communicates with multiple members of the project team within the company, perform troubleshooting of multiple device types to isolate issues resulting from failing hardware or software, open and facilitate supplier level cases when needed, communicates with multiple members of the project team and also with customers.Role responsibilities & duties:Troubleshooting of multiple vendor networking, wireless, telecom and collaboration devices.Troubleshooting of equipment such as core network storage and server technologies, or general telecommunication product.Facilitate opening and resolution of supplier cases and work directly with their engineersComplete all required paperwork required for reverse logistics, non-conformance and supplier trouble casesLead troubleshooting process for defective devices, logical issues, or systematic errors on a wide range of technologies.Communicate effectively with multiple cross-functional teams.Ensures compliance with established codes, regulations, and standards.Logical work to load OS (Operating system), loading license, and update firmware per customer requirements.Configure, upgrade, and test networking and telecom equipment (routers, switches, servers, wireless, radio access network items based on program need)Understanding of installation and configuration instructions with various platforms of hardware and ensures accurate information captureComplete physical audit of equipment and accessoriesConfirm hardware is functional,Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:A minimum of 2 years' progressive experience in a related field, such as experience with router/switch, wireless and servers, including networking.Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.Resolves issues by diagnosing problems, determining possible resolutions and implementing effective solutions.Demonstrates the discipline of planning, organizing and managing resources and activities to achieve specified outcomes within a clearly defined timeframe and standards.Identifies documentation needs and develops technical reference documentation in accordance with standards.Communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.Leverages technical knowledge of products to meet customer needs and understands market segments as well as market data trends.Demonstrates a concern for accuracy and thoroughness so that sufficiently detailed information is logged correctly.Ability to read engineering drawings (network designs documents, rack elevations) where applicableCan conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment.Strong written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of a broad range of network infrastructure cable types and best practices.Ability to take instruction and independently execute on the directives.Advanced level of English language.Please note: At this time, we are only considering candidates who are already residing in the Netherlands and are legally authorized to work in the Netherlands.
