The firm specializes in eco-friendly, efficient, and technology-driven construction practices that emphasize durability and sustainability.Athos Construction provides a complete range of contracting services, from small-scale renovations to large commercial builds, delivering consistent attention to detail, safety, and value across all projects.Job DescriptionThe MEP Estimator will develop detailed cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-protection systems for residential and commercial construction projects located primarily in California, USA. This remote role offers the opportunity to collaborate with both Canadian and U.S.-based project teams to support cost-saving and value-engineering strategies.ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and comprehensive MEP cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and design documents.​Conduct quantity take-offs for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.Analyze project requirements and coordinate with engineers and contractors to ensure scope completeness.Maintain a database of subcontractor and supplier pricing.Review design changes and updates to provide timely cost impact analyses.Assist in bid preparation and tender reviews.Provide value-engineering recommendations for project efficiency and cost control.​Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. and Canadian building codes and project standards.QualificationsDiploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of MEP estimating experience in commercial or residential construction.​Familiarity with U.S. construction practices, especially California projects (preferred).Strong computer skills with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or Trimble.Excellent analytical, communication, and organization skills.Certifications such as CIQS CEC (Construction Estimator Certified) or CCA GSC (Gold Seal Certified) are assets.​
