About the RoleThe Construction Project Manager position is a mid-to-senior level role responsible for the comprehensive oversight and execution of large-scale real estate development projects in the UAE. This role is pivotal in ensuring that construction projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in strict accordance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards. The position requires hands-on, onsite leadership, with a focus on managing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and navigating the unique regulatory and environmental landscape of the UAE construction industry.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from pre-construction planning and permitting through to project closeout and handover, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client expectations.Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, utilizing advanced project management software and methodologies to track progress and control costs.Coordinate and supervise onsite construction activities, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with UAE building codes, local regulations, and international best practices.Manage procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiation, and vendor selection, to secure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services at optimal quality and value.Lead, mentor, and evaluate multidisciplinary project teams, including site engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and laborers, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.Monitor project milestones, proactively identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain project momentum and mitigate potential issues.Ensure rigorous adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, conducting regular site inspections and safety audits in accordance with UAE regulations and company policies.Liaise with architects, consultants, government authorities, and clients to facilitate approvals, resolve technical challenges, and maintain transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, progress updates, and financial summaries to senior management and stakeholders.Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes, ensuring all construction activities meet or exceed specified standards and client requirements.Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and as-built drawings, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.Required Experience & SkillsProven experience (typically 7+ years) in construction project management, with a strong track record of delivering large-scale real estate or mixed-use developments in the UAE or GCC region.In-depth knowledge of UAE construction laws, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements, including familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities, or other relevant authorities.Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar platforms for scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, direct, and develop diverse onsite teams in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, capable of managing relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and government officials.Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, building systems, and modern construction materials and technologies.Demonstrated expertise in cost control, value engineering, and risk management within the context of large-scale construction projects.High level of proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous for stakeholder engagement and regulatory processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to evolving project demands.Commitment to upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP, RICS, NEBOSH) are highly desirable.Valid UAE driving license is typically required for site mobility.Evidence of ongoing professional development in construction management, safety, or project controls is advantageous.Tools & TechnologiesProject Management: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Aconex, ProcoreDesign & Documentation: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360Office Productivity: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Communication: Email, video conferencing platforms, and mobile collaboration toolsHSE Management: Safety audit and inspection software, incident reporting toolsDocument Control: Electronic document management systems (EDMS) This role offers the opportunity to lead high-profile real estate development projects in one of the world’s most dynamic construction markets.
