This role involves advising on a wide range of commercial real estate matters including leasing, property management, renovations, and asset management. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal expertise, commercial acumen, and fluency in Mandarin to navigate the dynamic retail landscape in China.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal support for retail real estate operations including leasing, construction, and property management.Draft and negotiate agreements such as leases, construction contracts, and architect agreements.Advise on day-to-day asset management issues and strategic property initiatives.Collaborate cross-functionally with business teams across APAC.Manage contract databases and ensure compliance with internal policies.Communicate complex legal issues in clear, business-friendly language.Identify legal risks and design proactive solutions to mitigate them.Skills Required:Minimum 5 years’ post-qualified legal experience (PQE).Experience in commercial real estate law, preferably within the retail sector.Strong exposure to the China market; PRC qualification not required.Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).Excellent drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities.Proactive, open-minded, and eager to learn.Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels.Demonstrates business acumen and is technology savvy.Experience in APAC jurisdictions, especially China and Australia.What sets us apart?The life of an LOD lawyer is like no other.
