Its other companies include FIJI Water, Justin and Landmark Vineyards, Vintage Nurseries, Wonderful Citrus, Wonderful Pistachios, Teleflora, POM Wonderful and Suterra.Reporting to the Agency Manager, we are currently looking for a Container Control and Administration Officer to join us on a four-month fixed term contract. This role supports the depot’s day-to-day operations by ensuring accurate container control, efficient administration, and high-quality customer service. The position contributes to operational safety, consistency, and integrity through effective coordination, problem-solving, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.Job DescriptionWhat You’ll Be Doing:Your role will be varied, rewarding, and full of opportunities to make a real impact. You will provide a high level of customer service and professionalism in all dealings with clients, transporters, and external parties.You will also:Enter Releases & acceptances in an agreed timeframe and maintain all assigned documentation and processesProvide timely and accurate information to transport operators and clientsComplete ad hoc administrative tasks as required or requestedActively track depot FIFOs, working with Depot Management to minimize long-stays and FIFO failuresAnswer incoming phone calls and assist with all general queries, completing filing where requiredConduct inwards and outwards dispatch for empty containersProcess repair estimates and reports, and assist with general office Facilitate administration relating to the VBS, actively monitoring incoming VBS Bookings to ensure the depot has sufficient stock to supplyAdvise transporters of delays and work with them to delay arrival or rebook where requiredEffectively coordinate the flow of all container movements booked through the VBS ensuing data integrity and adherence to processMake Hoist Drivers aware of any special requirements relating to incoming unitsHighlighting when units are returned after being rejected or require expedited processingBe the primary point of contact for Truck Drivers booking into the depotProactively investigate and resolve any discrepancies and service failures as well as escalate truck delays and issues affecting the flow of containers or service deliveryYou will join a close-knit team that values respect, reliability, and collaboration. You are someone who can bring integrity and reliability, as well as some experience in the workforce in an administration or customer service role. With previous experience in container control and administration roles, you will ideally have:-Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to work autonomously Strong attention to detail and time management abilitiesA can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and help wherever needed. Confidence using office software and systems, particularly Microsoft Word & Excel. Fluency in English, Bislama and/or French would be an advantageThis role is based in Port Vila.
