Job Highlight The Content Development and Communications Intern will gain valuable experience supporting the strategic creation and management of content for the APRA Implementation Office across digital and internal platforms. The intern will also contribute to the logistical and technical coordination of APRA's events.The Intern opportunity has two available positions: Local Intern: For Kenyan nationals. International Intern: For non-Kenyan nationals, who will be based in Nairobi, Kenya for the duration of the assignment. Role Purpose The Content Development and Communications Intern supports APRA's communication efforts by assisting in the creation, editing, and management of engaging content for digital, internal, and print platforms. This role also encompasses providing logistical and technical support for APRA's external events and engagements. The intern will receive hands-on experience in high-impact communications by directly contributing to the APRA Implementation Office.Specifically, the intern will:Master the creation, drafting, editing, and production of diverse content (e.g., newsletters, briefing notes, presentations) for various digital and print platforms.Gain practical digital media expertise by implementing digital communication strategies, curating, creating, and managing multi-media content (graphics, posts, videos) for social media, and supporting the growth of the Implementation Office's online presence.Develop event management and logistics skills through planning, organization, and technical coordination of events, including conferences, workshops, and webinars.Strengthen partnership outreach capabilities by identifying actionable opportunities for audience growth, cross-promotion, and expanding APRA's strategic network and visibility.Gaining critical understanding of the operational landscape of international partnerships focused on accelerating renewable energy deployment, energy access, and green industrialization in Africa. Education Requirements Required:A minimum of first level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent), or be enrolled in a post graduate program or have graduated from such studies within three (3) years prior to the start date of the intern assignment.The area of study preferably related to communications, journalism, public relations or similar is required. Experience Requirements Desired:While no prior work experience is required, some experience in content creation for social media platforms or related fields would be an asset.Excellent skills in graphic design software and video editing software.
