This landmark project will deliver 147 independent living apartments across five architecturally designed buildings, creating a vibrant, sustainable community that supports the next generation of independent seniors living.Having recently completed site establishment and with construction about to ramp up, we’re looking for an experienced Contract Administrator to join our high-performing project team, to help us bring this transformative development to life for our long term client, Uniting.About The RoleAs a Contracts Administrator, you’ll work closely with the Senior Contract Administrator and Project Manager to deliver the commercial and financial outcomes for the Uniting Edinglassie, Emu Plains project.You’ll be responsible for end-to-end subcontract administration, which will see you collaborate with our site delivery team, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to maintain contract compliance, and unlock subcontractor performance on this premier Seniors Living project. You’ll gain exposure to head contract management and financial reporting under the mentorship of senior team members to support your development toward more senior commercial roles.Your Day-to-day Will IncludeSubcontract Administration: Manage subcontract agreements, including performance tracking, claims, variations, RFIs and notices, protecting Growthbuilt’s commercial position while fostering positive relationships.Procurement: Maintain a project procurement schedule, prepare tender packages, scopes of work and comparisons, and procure subcontractor and supplier packages in line with the schedule.Claims Assessment & Payments: Assess and process subcontractor payment claims in line with site progress, agreed scopes, and commercial compliance, ensuring any payment schedules are issued in strict accordance with the Security of Payments Act where applicable.Project Reporting: Prepare monthly project review submissions, including EOT registers, forecast cost schedules, variation schedules, cash flow forecasts and risk registers, with oversight from the Senior CA, and contribute to presentations to senior leadership.Cost Control & Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for savings or value-add through careful scope management, without compromising quality, safety or client outcomes.Project Delivery: Work closely with the Senior CA, Project Manager and site team to resolve any contractual issues quickly, keep the program on track, and maintain clear communication with the client team.Head Contract Support: Review entitlements and obligations under the Head Contract, and assist the Senior CA with preparing any variation submissions, EOTs and delay notices.Document Control: Ensure project records and documentation are maintained, including subcontractor quality and safety documentation in line with contract requirements.Mentoring: Provide guidance to graduates and cadets, supporting their professional growth and development.This role is ideal for a commercially savvy CA who is confident running their own reporting and claims assessment processes, but is seeking broader responsibilities and mentorship from senior team members to accelerate their development toward senior project delivery roles.About YouYou’re a capable and highly driven Contracts Administrator, who takes pride in your commercial rigour, stakeholder relationships, and ability to stay calm under pressure. You’re detail-oriented, resilient and enjoy being hands-on to improve cost efficiency across the full project lifecycle.You’ll Bring5+ years’ post-graduate experience in contract administration within the construction sector, or have completed at least two Tier 2 projects from head contract award to practical completion with a D&C builderExperience procuring trades, negotiating subcontracts, and managing subcontractor performanceStrong knowledge of subcontract claims, variations, progress payments, and reportingAbility to prepare financial reports, forecasts and support overall project cost managementHigh-level stakeholder communication skills and the ability to foster strong subcontractor relationshipsA proactive problem-solver and critical thinker, who works well in a team and is eager to mentor junior team membersNot sure if you tick every single box?
