Taranis is an innovative and fast-growing international company that operates as the investment and asset management division of the Perenco Group.Our mission is to support the energy transition and sustainable development through three complementary divisions:Carbon Ventures – a venture capital fund investing in breakthrough technologies in the fields of plastic recycling and carbon capture and utilizationEnergy for Africa – a renewable energy project developer operating across the African continentNature-Based Solutions – a project developer focused on nature conservation and the restoration of natural ecosystemsTo support our continued growth, we’re expanding our team and seeking a Contract and Procurement Specialist to join our Paris office.Job PurposeThe C&P Specialist provides support to all technical disciplines for the management of procurement activities (understanding of scope of requirements, management of EPC contract, definition of sourcing strategies, preparation, and management of RFQs, bids evaluation, commercial and contractual negotiation, recommendations, drafting of contracts, creation and follow-up of contracts and POs up to payment of invoices and close out…)The C&P Specialist will liaise daily with all other functions and Subsidiaries to grant global Supply Chain performance, taking into consideration logistics, customs, stock management, and all related matters to deliver materiel/services in the country.Duties and ResponsabilitiesLiaising with discipline and Projects engineers for all related procurement topics and providing guidance regarding the procurement process,Helping to define procurement strategies and preparing requests for quotation documents in accordance with the relevant specifications (including all technical, commercial, and quality requirements),Managing RFQs, including clarifications, tenders’ evaluation, commercial and contractual negotiation, recommendations to award, internal approvals,Drafting various contracts covering a wide range of transactions at a local and international level,Monitoring the PO/Contract after-delivery process, to allow timely payment of suppliers,Handling close-out / extension or renewal of contracts,Maintaining all correspondence and documentation related to procurement and contracts, updating SCM monitoring tools (procurement / shipping dashboards, contracts database, etc.), to ensure accuracy of information,Handling claims with Suppliers, when necessary,Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers,Providing feedback on suppliers’ performance and helping the vendors management team with supplier’s evaluation,Assist with the sourcing and qualification of new suppliers, and negotiating T&Cs to be used by all subsidiaries,Monitoring buyers team performance,Following / developing procurement & contract KPI’sOther related activitiesRequired competenciesKey Responsibilities & ExpertiseStrong knowledge of EPC contracts, tender processes, contract governance, and the full contract lifecycleProven negotiation experience and solid understanding of commercial and financial principlesFamiliarity with international transport regulations (Incoterms 2020) and procurement processesAnalytical mindset with the ability to evaluate legal, financial, and operational implications and provide sound adviceExperience in the renewable energy sector (experience in Africa is a plus)Profile & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience5–10 years’ experience in contracts and procurement within the energy industry, with a focus on EPC contractsStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skillsFluent in English and French (business proficiency)International mindset and willingness to travel occasionally to subsidiariesEven if you don’t meet every single requirement, we’d still love to hear from you — we value diverse perspectives and are always excited to meet talented people who share our mission.Why join us? • An international, fast-growing company where every team member makes a real impact• A dynamic work environment in the heart of Paris• A structure that values autonomy and decision-making• The opportunity to work on tangible, innovative projects shaping the energy transition of tomorrow• A supportive environment that fosters career growth, learning, and skill development
