OrganizationStrathcona CountyRegionAlbertaApplication DeadlineNovember 16, 2025 before 23:30TypePart TimeCategoryParks & recreationTwitter Facebook Linkedin Send Save PrintDescriptionMultiple part-time contract Child and Youth Instructors The Child & Youth Programming team is currently seeking contract Sports Instructors (Skating, Basketball, Dodgeball, Pickleball, Badminton, etc.) and contract Early Childhood Development Instructors to be added to our contact list and fill vacant evening and weekend positions for the Winter & Spring 2026 session.As a Contract Child and Youth Program Instructor, you will work on a part-time, contract basis, and once added to our contact list you will be notified of all future instructing opportunities throughout the year.ResponsibilitiesDeliver high quality recreational classes for up to 20 participants in a safe and positive environmentDevelop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans with progressions and adaptations based on skill level and abilities Incorporate physical literacy and fundamental movement skills into weekly classesInteract with parents, handle all forms and paperwork and ensure overall participant safetyCollaborate and positively interact with the Child & Youth Programming TeamEquipment management including pick up/drop off, setup/takedown of program area and equipment safety assessments RequirementsTo be successful you will have:Positive, proven leadership and team-building skills Proven ability to maintain high standards of safety, quality and cooperation Proven time management skills and possess the ability to work with minimal supervisionOutstanding customer service and communication skillsAbility to adapt to changing work environments and demands Proof of First Aid and CPR Certification Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check What You BringCompletion or enrollment in a post-secondary programSport specific coaching and/or instructing experience is highly desired Experience working with children ages 4 to 15 yearsHigh Five Principles of Healthy Child Development is an asset (must obtain within 6 months of signing first contract)National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is an asset Salary & BenefitsPay: $19.00 - $25.00 per classContactPlease apply on our website: fa-erjf-saasfaprod1.fa.ocs.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/CandidateExperience/en/sites/CX_1/job/12228 From the same organizationLifeguard III Kinsmen Leisure Centre - Strathcona County29 Oct, 2025Recreation Programmer - Strathcona County2 Nov, 2025
