The Contract Manager will be responsible for the preparation, negotiation, execution, and management of all contract-related activities. This includes prequalification documentation, risk review, compliance, contract execution, and variation management. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure contracts support project delivery and company interests.Key ResponsibilitiesPrequalification & Tendering Stage:Prepare and compile professional Prequalification (PQ) documents tailored to specific project and client requirements within the UAE context.Review ITT, RFP, and RFQ documents to extract key requirements, risk elements, and commercial impacts.Coordinate with internal departments to prepare accurate and timely tender submissions.Draft and review contractual terms and negotiate changes with clients and consultants.Participate in pre-tender meetings and respond to clarifications and addenda.Post-Award / Contract Administration:Finalize, issue, and track main contract agreements and subcontractor packages.Manage all contractual correspondence, payments, claims, and change orders.Monitor compliance with key deliverables, legal obligations, and payment terms.Support project teams in contract interpretation and application.Maintain updated contract logs and registers for variation and claim tracking.Compliance & Risk Management:Identify contractual and legal risks early and provide mitigation strategies.Ensure full compliance with UAE laws, building regulations, and statutory obligations.Liaise with legal advisors when handling disputes or complex contractual issues.Stakeholder Management & Reporting:Serve as the focal point for contract-related communication with clients, consultants, andvendors.Provide timely reports to management on contract status, risk exposure, variations, and claims.Organize and maintain documentation for audit and reference.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Law, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or arelated field.Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction/design & build industry.Strong background in prequalification submission, contract drafting, negotiation, and claims handling.Familiarity with FIDIC and UAE-specific contract forms and legal frameworks.Skills & Competencies:Solid understanding of UAE contracting standards and legal procedures.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder interaction.Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and commercial judgment.Proficient in MS Office and contract/project management tools.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders/contracts simultaneously.
