If so, we want to hear from you!As Contracts & Projects Officer, this role will be at the heart of a dynamic Leisure and Contracts team and you will support the effective management of high-value leisure contracts and lead on project coordination. You will help ensure that commissioned services, partnerships or capital projects are delivered on time, within budget and align with our objectives to positive outcomes for residents.This isn’t just about contract management - it’s about building partnerships, identifying opportunities and delivering value for our communities, in line with the strategic direction of this high-profile service.About The RoleThe specific duties and responsibilities for this role are:Monitor and manage contracts across leisure services, ensuring complianceMaintain accurate records and reporting systems for contract performanceSupport the planning and delivery of capital and service improvement projects within leisureSupporting the collection, analysis and reporting of service dataLine management of the Contracts & Projects ApprenticeBuild and maintain effective relationshipsPrepare reports, briefings and presentations for senior management and elected membersRespond to enquiries and feedback from stakeholders and service users Supporting the Service Manager with the procurement and purchasing of any goods and servicesOversee the creation and maintenance of web pages and other information sourcesDevelop funding bids, undertake research, and identify trends/opportunities for service initiativesAbout YouA confident communicator – both in writing and face-to-faceA strong team player with a collaborative approachSomeone with excellent IT skills who can research, analyse and present informationA proactive individual who enjoys variety and can provide high-quality support to senior managersSomeone who can build positive relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholdersPassion for culture, leisure and public services – and the role they play in community wellbeing and equityEssential Qualifications, Skills And ExperienceProject Management: knowledge of managing small projects and project management skills/techniquesContract Management: reasonable experience of contract managementStrong communication able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholdersInterpersonal skills: ability to establish and build effective relationships with partner organisationsTechnical and analytical skills: proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and capable of producing and presenting statistical reports for managementTime Management: ability to plan and prioritise work effectively and meet deadlinesClosing Date: Sunday2nd November (midnight)Shortlisting Date: 7th NovemberInterview Date: w/c 17th November (face to face interview)We may close this vacancy early once a sufficient number of applications has been received.
