Controller – ConstructionWho: A strong, stable Construction firm.What: Seeking a Controller to support the CFO and lead a small team of accountants.When: Hiring immediately for a full-time position.Where: Alpharetta, GAWhy: Due to growth and continued success, financial leadership is needed to ensure strong internal controls and project accounting.Office Environment: Collaborative, fast-paced, and team-oriented atmosphere.Salary: $140k-$150k plus bonus, and excellent benefitsPosition Overview:We’re looking for a hands-on Controller with experience in construction accounting to manage day-to-day financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This individual will be instrumental in maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial clarity across multiple projects.Key Responsibilities:● Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions● Collaborate with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting● Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation● Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions● Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements● Liaise with project managers and operations for financial tracking● Implement and optimize use of financial and construction softwareQualifications:● 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry● Proficiency in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar● Familiarity with Procore or equivalent project management software● Strong job costing and AI billing experience● Sales tax compliance experience is a plus● Excellent leadership and communication skills● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
