We’re hiring a Junior Financial Controller to make our numbers fast, accurate, and investor-ready—with special focus on spend control, COGS discipline, and a Day-10 close.Key ResponsibilitiesRun the month-end close (target Day 10) with simple checklists and clear sign-offsKeep a tight handle on spend (approvals, exceptions, reporting)Make COGS airtight (purchasing, freight/3PL, allocations, tie-outs)Reconcile banks/cards/Shopify/PayPal/3PL/software and resolve variances fastKeep intercompany aligned monthly; deliver a basic consolidated viewCoordinate tidy handoffs to VAT/tax partnersPublish a sharp monthly pack (P&L, BS, Cash + variance notes); sanity-check the daily profit readoutStackQuickBooks (Cyprus & US), Revolut, JPMorgan, Mercury, DashFi, Parker, Shopify, PayPal, 3PL portals, subscription/software tools.Ideal CandidateEarly-career controller with hands-on close and reconciliationsComfortable in QuickBooks and e-commerce flows (Shopify/PayPal, 3PL)Loves simple processes and clean reconciliationsEager to learn and use AI to automate routine finance workFluent in English; works well remotely with a 5-hour overlap to Cyprus🧠 Your Day-to-Day Might Look LikeRunning the Day-10 close calendar and posting clean journalsReconciling Revolut/JPM/Mercury, DashFi/Parker, Shopify/PayPalTying purchases + freight/3PL into a crisp COGS numberFlagging unusual spend and proposing fixesSending the monthly pack with short, useful variance notes🚫 This Isn’t for You IfYou only want to analyze—not own the closeDocumentation/checklists feel like “extra work”You avoid new tools and AI-powered workflows👉 If you’re ready to make our close faster and our costs tighter, we’d love to hear from you.
