Job DescriptionManitowoc is currently looking for a Finance Controller (M/F) to join its team at the Baltar facility in Portugal. In your new role, you will be responsible for overseeing controlling, finance, tax, and compliance activities for the company’s entities in Portugal and Spain.Major ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):Develops budgets, forecasts, and financial models; Analyzes financial performance and provides strategic insights. Compiles for the legal entity the plan information coming from product lines and operations on P/L & BS.Reporting And ComplianceMEC (Month End Close) Prepares accurate monthly financial statements and reportsEnsures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsInternal Controls And Risk ManagementImplements and monitors internal control systems for SOX complianceIdentifies financial risks and proposes mitigation strategiesCost Control And EfficiencyOversees cost management initiativesIdentifies opportunities to improve financial efficiency and reduce waste.Cash Flow And Treasury ManagementCash flow / treasury forecasting and banking relationships; Ensures optimal use of financial resources; Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable analysis.Audit CoordinationCoordinates internal audits; Ensures timely resolution of audit findings.Strategic SupportActs as a business partner to senior management; Supports strategic initiatives with financial analysis and scenario planning.TaxSupervise Non local tax returnsPrepare tax streamPrepare the detailed file for the transfer pricing health check and final review Team ManagementStrong focus on talent development and continuous learningSkilled in resolving conflicts and fostering a positive work environmentEffective delegation and workload managementStrategic resource planning to meet deadlines and business needsSound decision-making aligned with company goalsCommitment to compliance with internal policies and ethical standardsSkills and Qualifications:Between 8 to 10 years of experience in Controlling and Financial areasEducational background in Economics and/or ManagementStrong interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented and rigorousGood negotiation skillsHigh IntegrityResilienceGood conflict resolution skillsDeadline-driven and reliableThorough and meticulousExcellent analytical skillsHigh technical knowledge of taxationExperience working with SAPAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelBenefits35h Weekly working hoursHealth insuranceLife insurancePension PlanContinuous trainingIntegration in a multinational company
