The company has raised $130M+ in investment from some of the most respected Venture Capital and finance firms in the world.Main Street Auto was founded by an enlisted veteran of the 101st Airborne Division and 5th Special Forces Group who provides career development opportunities to our country’s greatest leaders while building a company culture based on the camaraderie, loyalty, and service-oriented leadership of the United States military.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our company’s accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and provide strategic financial insights. The Controller will manage the accounting team, implement robust financial controls, and support executive leadership in decision-making.Responsibilities will include:Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Support business planning and strategy.Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.Monitor cash flow, working capital, and key financial metrics to ensure financial stability.Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business growth.Evaluate and implement accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.Candidate MUST:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA is required.Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least [8] years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.Experience with Sage Intacct.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.Compensation & BenefitsMarket-leading salary commensurate with experienceFull benefits package (health, dental, etc.)Paid time off and flexible holidaysProfessional development and mentorship opportunities
