You won’t be working alone — you’ll have dedicated support from design, development, and data to help deliver impactful tests at scale.Your job is to set the strategy, manage the pipeline, and make sure results translate into impact. You’ll be the connector across disciplines, driving research, prioritisation, and delivery of experiments that improve both conversion and user experience.This role is not about “moving buttons” for the sake of testing. It’s about using experimentation to improve funnels, unlock growth, and shape a product experience that feels world-class.What you’ll be doingLead the CRO program: build, prioritise, and manage a continuous pipeline of high-impact experiments across web and app.Work with a cross-functional team: collaborate with design, engineering, and data specialists who will support you in delivering experiments.Research & discovery: generate test ideas through user research, funnel analysis, and input from across the business.Delivery & execution: ensure experiments are scoped, designed, and shipped quickly, with the right balance of speed and quality.Measurement & reporting: partner with the data team to design tests with rigour, analyse results, and communicate wins, losses, and learnings.Tooling & process: own experimentation tooling (currently Convert.com + Amplitude), assess future needs, and unify app/web testing.Drive real impact: deliver improvements that can add millions of dollars annually in incremental revenue while enhancing the diner experience.What you’ll bringProven experience in conversion rate optimisation, growth, or product management with a strong experimentation focus.Commercial acumen: ability to prioritise tests by impact and link results directly to revenue outcomes.Strong understanding of experimentation principles (A/B and multivariate testing, hypothesis design, statistical validity).Competence with analytics tools (Amplitude, GA4, SQL a plus) and familiarity with testing platforms (Convert.com, Optimizely, VWO, etc).Ability to juggle a high-volume testing pipeline and coordinate cross-functional delivery.Excellent communication skills, able to turn data into clear stories and champion learnings across the business.Bonus: design literacy (wireframes, UX principles), basic technical know-how (HTML/CSS/JavaScript), or prior experience optimising in native apps.Why you’ll love working with usDirect measurable impact: your work will show up in revenue numbers, not just vanity metrics.Speed to learning: run experiments quickly and see results in days, not months.Creative freedom: shape a new capability from scratch and establish best-practice experimentation at scale.Work your way: this role can be based from our Queenstown HQ (with 1 WFH day per week), or remotely from Auckland, where our team meets and collaborates regularly each month.Beloved consumer brand: contribute to a product that diners and restaurants already love.Perks: free First Table bookings, regular team recognition and socials, and the chance to work with a purpose-led, award-winning brand.What’s next?
