Will be required to work nights and weekends.Responsibilities1 - Works with the Dual Enrollment program and bookstore to provide materials needed for student success and submit payment requests for the materials. Provides monthly data and financial reporting for each auxiliary unit and sales and services accounts including the Southeast Georgia Conference Center and the Coastal Community Center for the Arts.2 - Develops and organizes marketing plans and events for auxiliary services for the campus. Maintain the Events and Auxiliary Services webpage.3 - Oversees the vending contractors and verifying campus vending machines to ensure product quality, quantity and operations.4 - Reviews dining menu options to ensure quality menus for all dietary needs and work as liaison between students and dining services as needed.5 - ¿Collects feedback on events and auxiliary services programs. Shares feedback with appropriate administrators to ensure campus and customer satisfaction.6 - Assists with the coordination and oversight of event setups, including front of house and back of house, attends events to provide customer service as needed.7 - Coordinates the purchase of office and conference center supplies.8 - Maintain communication with vendors and third-party clients.9 - Performs related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsEducational RequirementsBaccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.Required ExperienceMore than one year of related experience requiredPreferred QualificationsAdditional Preferred QualificationsCertified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP) designation.Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP)Preferred Educational QualificationsDegree in Hospitality or Event managementPreferred ExperienceMore than 3 years of related experience in the field of event management and/or higher education auxiliary services.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKNOWLEDGEKnowledge of event scheduling principles.Knowledge reporting and data management.Knowledge of budget development and management principles.Knowledge of college policies and procedures.Knowledge of computers and job related software programs.Knowledge of University System of Georgia policies and procedures.SkillsSkill to make timely decisions.Skill in decision making and problem solving.Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.Skill in oral and written communication.Skill and ability to attend events after hours and on weekends.USG Core ValuesThe University System of Georgia is comprised of our 26 institutions of higher education and learning as well as the System Office.
