Strong support from host communities and the government of Suriname strengthen Merian's ability to deliver safe, profitable production with significant upside potential and opportunity for employees, host communities and shareholders.DimensionsPurposeHelp support Asset Management team to ensure quality and compliance with safety standards.Working with the Fixed Plant planners, Supervisors and Reliability engineers optimize the availability of all equipment via the application of sound concepts of reliability and maintenance in a safe, sustainable and cost-effective manner.Essential DutiesFollow compliance with safety protocols during fabrication, repair, and refurbishment of process plant equipment and structures Support the execution routine maintenance on process and mining equipment. Collate and report data on projects, and asset integrity and remediation activities.Coordinate parts and materials for critical maintenance activities and shutdowns.Working with business partner and contractors to ensure they are successful in execution of their work, ensure they have proper information, coordination and access to areas of work. Support in troubleshooting and resolving issues within the fixed processing plant, Liaise with other departments to ensure operational efficiencyWork with global asset integrity team to understand the priorities.Assess relevant risks, implement mitigation measures, and continuously monitor for risksTraining & ExperienceKnowledgeTrade qualification or experience in related field (mechanical).Several years of experience in planning, supervision , resource allocation, risk mitigation, health and safety protocols and industry standards.Competent ability to interact, influence and resolve conflict with various stakeholders.Competent experience in leading and developing teams.Experience in running maintenance routines and tasks supporting supervisors in technical inquiresTechnical SkillKnowledge and practical proficiency in project planning, delivery, tracking and monitoring, data recording and reporting.Knowledge of supply chain systems and practices, can provide tracking reports for parts and services. Competent knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for performance.Competent knowledge of health, safety, environment and sustainability regulations and practices. Competent understand of project cost management and financial principles.Working knowledge of work management systems, ability to source and order parts and supplies when needed.
