Coordinator, US Scripted Content Sales

Job PurposeReporting to the Senior Sales Executive, the position will be responsible for supporting all sales efforts from presales to post sales for the US Scripted Content Sales team in order to achieve revenue targets and corporate goals. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational abilities; skilled at handling multiple priorities, working under pressure and against deadlines. A passion for film and television content is essential.Principal AccountabilitiesAn integral member of the global Content Sales team who participates in all aspects of BBC Studios business. To support the pre- and post-sales activity across all businesses to maximise revenue through the exploitation of the BBC Studios programme catalogue.Coordinate the US Scripted Sales department in all sales functions while interfacing with Marketing, Rights, Insights, Global Sales Planning, Operations, Finance, and Business and Legal Affairs.Coordinate global internal meetings, develop and distribute agenda and organize and distribute meeting notes and actions. Coordinate Scripted Sales Team external-facing diaries around key client-facing events (e.g. MIPCOM, Showcase, Roadshows, ad hoc meetings) including client liaison, preparation of travel itineraries, appointment schedules, and agenda. Processing of expenses claims.Mine extensive library of content to identify and develop compelling sales propositions and pitches including building sales decks and packages.Track sales history and expiring licenses to aid in sales objectives and maximization of lifetime catalogue value.Liaise with sales teams to update the weekly sales data with deal information confirmed and pending and provide other management information on sales in the territory/business as required.Update relevant sales forecasts with deal information and inputting into sales reporting as required.Work with marketing, insights, and global sales planning departments to source and collate market analytics, research & insights and pricing data in support of the development of pitch materials.Distribute appropriate marketing information to clients in the territory - catalogues, brochures and work with relevant teams to provide all marketing assets (eg. Artwork, publicity, trailers, M&E soundtracks, Closed Captions, DV and scripts) to broadcasters to support sales.Provide Rights & Clearance support using Rightsline to maintain accurate sales history and rights availability.Manage all customers and deals in Salesforce.Coordinate quotes, production and track access to dubs and masters and update local sales teams on UK transmission plans and expected delivery date of materials in all relevant languages.Work with Global Operations in NY, LA and UK to order relevant technical materials to service deals using BBCS systems .Work closely with Business and Legal Affairs in NY, LA and UK to coordinate contract drafting, review and distribution and organise signature process (e.g. per Docusign), upload of contractual details into CMP and working with all internal teams (BLA, DMT and Credit Control) on processing contracts and paymentsPrepare and circulate deal memos, amendments and relevant contractual matters internally and externally.Liaise with Deal Management in order to support deal flow through internal systems.Foster and maintain close contact with the clients’ BLA, after-sales production/marketing, technical delivery teams, Comms and PR personnel.Other related duties as required.NATURE AND SCOPEPlanning and OrganizationWorking for the US Scripted Content Sales and Co-Production team. You will also be required to organise and manage your own workload.Working ContractsYou will work closely with customers and internal departments such as global operations, deal management, content partnerships, marketing, communications, Business and Legal Affairs and compliance to maintain strong working relationships, working particularly closely with the Global Content Sales teams.Knowledge And ExperienceESSENTIAL CRITERIA1-3 years of prior experience in a Sales Coordinator or equivalent role in the Film/TV or media and entertainment industry.Desired But Not RequiredStrong administrative experience.Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and translate actionable insights.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with executives at all levels.Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Teams and Power Point – and experience with finance programs like SAP, deal management systems like Salesforce, rights and clearance programs like Rightsline an asset).Strong ability to self-manage and multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and demonstrate initiative.A keen understanding of local broadcast partners, consumer behavior and trends within realms of broadcasting as well as new and emerging opportunities.Experience in Film or Television industry with a basic understanding of the PTV, Free TV, SVOD, AVOD, FAST distribution and DTC businesses an asset.A passion for content, the entertainment industry and loves watching and talking about television.Benefits And Perks100% Employer-Paid Medical and Dental Insurance (PPO plans)Generous Paid Time OffFlexible, Hybrid Working ArrangementsWork/life balanceFree Retirement Consulting to All EmployeesPet InsuranceCommuter BenefitsGym ReimbursementHybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of 2-3 days per week.CompensationThe anticipated annual base salary for this position is $68,000 to $72,500. This range does not include bonus compensation or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and geographic location of the position.
