Responsible for coordination, development, and delivery of internal and external communications, and promoting BICSI products and services while reinforcing BICSI’s mission and brand identity. Works closely with the Marketing Campaign Manager and the entire Marketing team, providing editorial and copywriting services as necessary for successful implementation of all Department projects. Serves as the final checkpoint for all Marketing content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, editorial standards, and legal/regulatory requirements. This role oversees the editorial review process, leads the development and enforcement of style and quality assurance guidelines, and contributes original content as needed.SUPERVISORY ROLE - Supervises no employee(s).DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Produce marketing/sales material, including but not limited to:•Serve as the primary gatekeeper for all outbound marketing content, ensuring it is error-free, factually accurate, brand-aligned, and legally compliant.•Develop, implement, and maintain editorial and quality assurance standards and workflows across the Marketing Department.•Lead copywriting/editing for various forms of marketing collateral, including both original copy and copy generated by others.•As a Copywriter/editor, advises and plays a key role in aiding other copywriter/editors.•Collaborates with Marketing Team to develop creative ideas and promotional strategies.•Creates copy, schedules and manages timelines, and implements (sends out) a variety of on-going e-blasts, including but not limited to virtual ICT Forums, webinars, virtual instructor-led training and courses.•Reviews and approves all marketing deliverables, including web content, emails,newsletters, collateral, social media copy, presentation decks, and advertising.•Solicits content from internal and external stakeholders and writes content for corporate e-newsletters.•Conducts thorough fact-checking with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and ensures cited information is accurate and timely.•Writes high-engagement content that reflects the company’s brand and voice.•Collaborates with marketing peers to develop a variety of content marketing materials.•Produces error-free content that adheres to the company's style guidelines.•Interprets creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts•Manages multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality is upheld even under tight deadlines.•Propose copy concepts and presents underlying strategic thinking to department management.•Researches and fact-checks copy from BICSI subject matter experts to include in external communications.•Collaborates with marketing team to define project timelines, quality assurance checkpoints, and delivery schedules.•Devises schedule of work to ensure projects are completed on time.•Organizes and prioritizes multiple projects.As with all members of the Marketing Department, serves as a liaison and representative for member needs including, but not limited to, the following:•Responds promptly to miscellaneous member and nonmember inquiries, via telephone, email or other such appropriate methods.•Maintains awareness of member needs/concerns.•Evaluates and forwards member concerns to department management.Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIESComputer Skills:To perform this job successfully, and individual should have through knowledge of:•Word•Excel•Outlook•PowerPoint•Internet•Knowledge of Adobe products, InDesign and Dreamweaver•Knowledge of Informz Eblast software helpfulMath Ability:•Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail•Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsTRAVEL - NoneEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE•Associate degree or bachelor’s degree and 3 years professional writing experience required.Thorough knowledge of AP style required.•3-year experience in producing copy for digital, print, and other marketing channels.•Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite or related softwarePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
