City based International Bank, are looking to recruit a Credit Analyst, to join their Corporate Banking department. The Credit analyst responsibility is to support the Wholesale Banking business teams in London, through timely provision of in-depth credit and advice/recommendations regarding prospective/existing clients and associated banking facilities/limits.Main responsibilities will include; To take primary responsibility for the timely preparation and submission of Credit Applications (CAFs), for new business proposals and annual/interim reviews for London and Turkish Corporates, assisting and advising as required other Department members in London and Istanbul involved in such CAF preparationsTo undertake in-depth financial analysis of, inter alia, balance sheet, income statements and cash flow statements in support of CAF presentations in line with best practices, fully liaising where necessary with Relationship Managers, Product Managers etc. to ensure adequate information flowsTo access as required, external information sources and appropriate research databases in support of CAF presentationsIn conjunction with Relationship Managers, to undertake site visits for information gathering and monitoringTo lead by example, strict compliance with the Bank’s internal risk management policies and procedures and general standards of operationTo ensure compliance with all relevant external legal, regulatory and reporting requirementsTo monitor current developments which may affect the Bank’s customers and recommend appropriate action if necessaryTo comply with the Bank’s internal risk management policies, (including Group Credit Policy), and procedures and general standards of operationsTo comply with all relevant external legal, regulatory and reporting requirementsTo liaise with Risk Management and other Bank departments as and when necessaryTo support the Head of Client Credit Management in ad-hoc risk-related special tasks and projectsTo be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills; Minimum three years corporate credit analysisDetailed knowledge and understanding of audited financialsBackground in economics/analysis/accounts an advantage Educated to degree levelKnowledge of trade finance products an advantageStrong skills in written and verbal influencingStrong participant in discussions and meetingsA team player, possessing ability to build relationshipsSelf-starter who can work under pressure with a high degree of accuracyAbility to read and assess legislative and regulatory notices and interpret them for implementation and application into day-to-day working procedures
