A&O Shearman are recruiting a Corporate ECM Counsel to join our Corporate practice in Riyadh. DEPARTMENT PURPOSE A&O Shearman advises across the full spectrum of corporate work including public takeovers, private M&A, Private Equity, ECM, complex joint ventures, disposals and corporate restructurings, as well as general commercial, antitrust and corporate governance issues. ROLE PURPOSE We are looking for a Counsel to support our ECM practice group in Riyadh. ROLE & RESPONSBILITIESDrafting, reviewing and amending documentationProviding strategic guidance to clientsManaging client expectations and project delivery appropriatelyBusiness development - development of personal plan, assistance with and implementation of business development campaignLegal researchKEY REQUIREMENTSQualified lawyer 7-8 PQE +Strong technical knowledge with regards to corporate M&A and ECMStrong transactional experienceIntellectual curiosity and versatilitySelf-starter with the desire and ability to continuously acquire, build upon and share know ledgeDetail-focused and self-motivated approachStrong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesExcellent client relationship skillsAbility to operate at associate level within a complex international organisationStrong commercial/business acumen with the ability to deliver creative and pragmatic solutions and adviceExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface at all levels and particularly to winthe respect of the partner and fee-earner community, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholdersCollaborative team player with the ability to develop and work in a fast paced, intellectually rigorous environmentA person of sound judgment, able to establish a high level of credibility Should you require additional support at any stage of the recruitment process due to a disability or a health condition, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our recruitment team who will work with you to provide any adjustments as required.
