Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is looking for a Corporate Legal Assistant to join their Toronto office. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-performing legal team that values professionalism, excellence, and client service.What You’ll Be Doing:Managing incoming correspondence and emails, prioritizing for review, drafting responses, or redirecting to appropriate team members.Assisting with the preparation and filing of corporate documents related to incorporations, amendments, annual returns, and other business filings.Coordinating travel, meeting schedules, and logistics for corporate transactions and closings.Supporting the preparation of presentations, reports, and materials for internal and external meetings, including board and shareholder meetings.Maintaining organized and up-to-date electronic and physical corporate records, including minute books and corporate databases.Processing lawyer expenses, reconciling reports, and ensuring adherence to firm policies.Opening and closing client matters in accordance with internal protocols.Handling time entry, docketing, and billing tasks with accuracy and efficiency.Managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, and preparing lawyers with necessary documents and briefing materials.Liaising with clients, government offices, and regulatory bodies regarding filings, forms, and corporate compliance.What You Bring to the Table:Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent education.Minimum of 1+ years of experience supporting corporate lawyers in areas such as competition, financial services, business, or tax law.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal document management systems.Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism.Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning.Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
