Job Description

Responsibilities:Analyse projects Commercial Handover Document (CHOD) and help the cost control team to prepare projects Execution Budget by Responsible Cost CentresSupervise and oversee the budget controllers for preparation of Work Budget, analysis of Actual cost, preparation of accurate ForecastLead, supervise, co-ordinate and follows-up the cost control team that provides effective cost control of projects, operating centres & managementLiaison/ communication internally with all concerned depts. (PMT, Finance, Planning team, operating centres, QSs, etc.) to ensure adequate cost control services and optimum resultsAnalyse cost performance, address concerns and recommend corrective measuresCheck and review all Project Work Budgets and Cost Control ReportsAnalyse projects cost performance and cost trends, identify variances and initiate early warnings for the Sr. ManagementEnsure project budget control/monitoring information is well maintained and knowledge is transferred to project management and commercial departmentClosely collaborate with PMT, Finance dept., Contract dept. etcLead in developing Cost control systems, processes, procedures, standards, and automations.Creating a synergy/cooperation within Departments (ex. Finance, Operations, Tendering, Procurement etc.) and work around timely fulfilling the Corporate requirements like Business plan/Revenue projections, Group receivable monitoring, Risk & Opportunities etcProvide weekly/monthly/yearly financial reports (Business plans, Yearly Planned Budget, Earned Revenue, Revenue Forecast etc.) to Finance dept. /Project support dept. /GPE committee/Sr. managementCome up with creative and innovative ideas / alternatives in order to ensure a competitive cost control and efficient work planActively engaged in mentoring and advising colleagues/subordinates to foster their professional development and contribute to the overall growth and success of the department as well as the companyQualification/Experience:Minimum 12 years of experience in Estimation, Budget and Cost Control in related industriesBachelor’s Degree in Engineering in a related discipline, or equivalentPreferably with experience in heavy civil and infrastructure projects
