Join a fantastic team and gain valuable experience working on long term project in the biotech sector.Title: Cost ControllerLocation: Antwerp, BelgiumPosition Available: 1Type: Contract (12+ months)If you think your skills and experience are suitable for this position, please do not hesitate to contact me!Your Responsibilities:Maintain and continuously update a PO-level cost tracker in Excel, covering original/revised budgets, commitments, incurred costs, FFC/ETC, and accruals.Link and reconcile data with SAP for actuals, commitments, and purchase orders.Conduct weekly on-site cost verification to confirm physical progress aligns with reported financials.Manage and forecast costs across ~12 work packages (CSA, piping, HVAC, electrical HV/MV/LV, cleanrooms, IT/fibre, finishes, etc.).Support and challenge contractors and construction managers on change orders, claims, and scope alignment.Ensure cost forecasting and accruals reflect true project progress in coordination with the scheduler.Prepare and deliver monthly (moving to weekly) cost reports and dashboards to project leadership.Uphold data integrity, standardization, and compliance with cost control protocols.Your Requirements:Strong construction-phase cost control experience within EPC/EPCM or pharma environments.Quantity Surveying (QS) background; piping/HVAC expertise preferred.Proven ability to build and maintain Excel-based cost models with linked formulas, dashboards, and SAP integration.Demonstrated experience managing hundreds of POs, forecasting at granular level, and controlling change/VOs.Excellent communication and challenge skills with contractors and site teams.Availability for weekly on-site presencePrevious experience on pharma/API construction projects.Familiarity with cost tools/standards.Knowledge of SAP cost moduleIf you are interested in this role, please do not hesitate to send me your CV today for an immediate response!mbernhard@optimussearch.com
