Job Title: Cost Manager – Large-Scale CAPEX Pharmaceutical ProjectAbout the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Cost Manager to join our client’s team on a major CAPEX pharmaceutical project in Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-profile, complex development in one of the most advanced and fast-moving sectors.As a Cost Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that the project is delivered within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. You’ll be working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to manage costs from early design through to construction and handover.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all cost-related activities throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility to completion.Develop and maintain project cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.Track and report on project expenditure, ensuring transparency and alignment with financial targets.Prepare and manage cash flow projections and cost reports.Support procurement processes, including tender evaluation, contract administration, and change management.Monitor variations, claims, and change orders to ensure accurate cost control and reporting.Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to provide financial insights and advice.Identify risks, opportunities, and trends that could impact project costs and recommend mitigation strategies.Ensure all cost management practices are compliant with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.About You:Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering, or a related discipline.5+ years of experience in cost management or project controls, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences sector.Strong background in large-scale CAPEX construction projects.Excellent understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and financial reporting.Skilled in cost estimating software and standard project control tools.Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
