Job SummaryThe Counsellor is responsible for providing guidance and support to students or clients regarding courses, career opportunities, or employment options. The role involves understanding individual needs, offering appropriate advice, and maintaining positive relationships to ensure client satisfaction and institutional growth.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide counselling to students or clients about available courses, career paths, or job opportunities. Handle inquiries via calls, emails, or walk-ins and maintain follow-up communication. Understand the client’s background, interests, and goals to suggest suitable programs or placements. Assist in the admission, documentation, and enrollment processes. Maintain and update client/student databases and counselling records. Coordinate with academic, HR, and placement departments for smooth operations. Participate in promotional events, seminars, and orientations to attract potential candidates. Achieve monthly and quarterly counselling or enrollment targets. Ensure a professional and empathetic approach while dealing with clients. Qualifications And SkillsBachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Management, or a related field. Prior experience (3–4 years) as a Counsellor, preferably in an educational or recruitment setting. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Strong convincing and problem-solving ability. Proficiency in MS Office and basic record management.
