The person is fully responsible for the completeness of books and for the timely and correct reporting of accounting figures for the assigned entity(ies).Key ResponsibilitiesPerform accounting and reporting tasks (incl. audit) in line with defined processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions, update process documentations as requiredExecute period-end tasks for assigned entity(ies), perform reconciliation and clearing of accounts, report actuals in the reporting system in a timely manner, and meet quality targetsSecure compliance according to internal procedures and legislation, support the Senior Country Accountant in the preparation of the financial statements and tax reporting obligationsEscalate issues and concerns to the RTR Team Lead and propose remediating actionsProactively assist the RTR Team Lead to identify any areas of improvement to help maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes, and lead the implementation of improvement initiatives of medium level of complexitySupport cross-process and cross-function cooperation required to achieve overall goals for GBSDrive the resolution of queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners & other internal and external stakeholders, build good relationships with stakeholdersActively support GL associatesKey RequirementsMinimum 4+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experienceExperience in working with IFRS and local standardsExperience in Tax (Direct and Indirect) accounting and compliance is an advantageKnowledge of Technology: MS Office, SAP is an advantageStrong communication skillsMature attitude towards challenges and problem solving - being able to work with limited guidance and able to determine the information needed to resolve issues, manage pressure effectively, and cope well with setbacksTaking ownership of assigned responsibilities, including self-study/research needed to execute the sameBeing able to work to tight deadlines and changing prioritiesContinuous improvement mindsetTeam playerEnglish is a required languageQualifications/EducationMaster’s degree in Finance/AccountingAdditional accounting certification is a plusDimensionsCompany InformationConvatec Group – supporting 1-2 entities/global processesPrinciple ContactsInternal - GBS teams, Controllers, Finance business partners, Global Tax and Transfer pricing specialists, Corporate and market commercial teamsExternal – Auditors, external providersTravel RequirementsPosition may involve travel up to 5% of the time, mostly within the region.
