We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Manager to lead biotechnology research and application activities in Spain. This role is central to drive innovation and operational excellence at this regional center of expertise, contributing to global trait strategy through high-quality research and efficient production processes. The successful candidate will manage a multidisciplinary team, ensure alignment with local R&D and Marketing & Sales teams, and collaborate closely with Biotech headquarters to enhance product performance and strengthen Enza Zaden’s leadership in the biotech sector.This is why you want to join us as Country Manager Biotech – Spain at Enza ZadenYou’ll lead a multidisciplinary biotech team in Spain, contributing directly to global trait strategy and product performance.You’ll operate at the intersection of research, production, and commercial teams, ensuring alignment and impact.You’ll drive innovation and operational excellence in a regional center of expertise with global visibility.Make a difference as Country Manager Biotech – SpainAs Country Manager Biotech – Spain, you will:Lead and develop the local biotech team, ensuring optimal structure, motivation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration in line with the Enza Be One principle.Translate strategic goals into tactical plans, aligning with the Head of Trait Discovery and Head of Biotech Applications.Ensure timely execution of tactical plans, including project and pipeline delivery, resource management, and adaptive planning based on outcomes.Oversee protocol development and data traceability in trait discovery and phenotyping, ensuring knowledge is systematically captured and accessible.Secure successful implementation of strategic projects through effective prioritization and resource allocation, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Make a difference in: Strategic leadership and alignment, multidisciplinary team integration and collaboration, ownership of local execution, on the ground representation and problem solving, navigating growth and complexity. You will report to the Global Biotech Director and collaborate closely with local R&D, Marketing & Sales teams, and Biotech headquarters. Your workplace will be based in Spain, with both domestic and international travel expected.What You Bring As a Future ColleagueBachelor of Science in a relevant field; PhD preferred.Proven leadership and management experience in research and production 9-12 yearsStrong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Well-developed organizational and administrative competencies.Experience in program and budget management.Ability to work under pressure and travel (domestic and international)You are a proactive and strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.
