Country Manager (Logistics) - Vietnam Representative

Location: Ho Chi Minh Employment Type: Full-time Reports to: Branch ManagerAbout The OpportunityOn behalf of our international client, Sunbytes is looking for an experienced and visionary Country Manager to lead their Ho Chi Minh City branch.Our client is a Dutch-based logistics specialist established in 2016, providing end-to-end solutions from heavy transport to sea and air freight. They are committed to delivering 'optimal support' and high-quality security throughout the global supply chain.As the Country Manager you will be the driving force behind the HCMC office, overseeing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring the seamless integration of sea, air, and warehousing operations. Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Business Development (Mainly focus) Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing customers. Collaborate with the sales team to develop competitive solutions and pricing strategies. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.Compliance & Quality Ensure full compliance with local laws, international logistics regulations, and company policies. Maintain high standards of service quality, safety, and operational integrity. Implement and monitor internal controls and risk management procedures.Other Responsibilities Provide daily direction to departments ( Sea/Air Freight, warehousing, customer service, administration) ; foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement. Optimize workflows to enhance service quality and cost-efficiency; ensure all import/export and transportation processes are executed flawlessly. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and P&L for the HCMC office; ensure all financial targets and profitability goals are met. Maintain and strengthen relationships with key carriers, vendors, and regulatory authorities.RequirementsWe are seeking a leader with a "results-oriented" mindset and a deep understanding of the Vietnamese logistics landscape. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Prior experience with Dutch/ European companies/culture is preferred Comprehensive knowledge of Sea Freight, Air Freight, and Warehouse management systems. Proven track record of managing large teams, driving operational turnarounds, and achieving ambitious commercial targets. Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical problem-solving skills. Fluency in English is mandatory
