A Country Manager oversees all operations within a specific country, acting as the local representative for a company's strategy and goals. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing country-specific strategies, managing finances and daily operations, leading and developing a local team, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and building relationships with local Customers. The role requires a combination of leadership, strategic thinking, and operational management skills to drive growth and profitability for the company in that market.Job Description (JD) Strategy and leadership: Develop and execute business, sales, and marketing strategies tailored to the local market to achieve company goals and drive growth.Operations management: Oversee the daily operations of the country, ensuring efficiency and seamless functionality across departments like sales, KAM, Operations and finance.Financial management: Manage the country's budget, financial performance, and profitability. This includes forecasting and reporting on financial results to senior management.Team leadership and development: Recruit, train, and manage the local team. Foster a high-performance culture and ensure the team is motivated to achieve targets.Compliance and legal: Ensure the company's operations comply with all local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.Customer relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, local partners, authorities, and government bodies.Market analysis: Monitor local market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies and identify new business opportunities.Reporting: Provide regular performance updates, strategic insights, and financial reports to global leadership.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, often in business, international relations, or a related field. A master's degree is often preferred.Significant professional experience in management, sales, or a related area, often with experience in the specific industry.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking abilities.Knowledge of the country/region and local language fluency.Experience in Contract logistics with financial planning and budgeting.Experience in Freight Forwarding with airline & shipping carrier managementProficiency in English besides Japanese. Mandarin/Korean language will be added advantage.Reporting Structure: Regional Head
