Senior Communication Partner to Executive Leadership in NorwayAt COWI, we are seeking an experienced and proactive communication professional to act as the trusted communication advisor and go-to person to our executive leadership in Norway.

 Create the solutions that will enable a better tomorrowAs Senior Communication Partner to our Group Chief Business Development Officer and Executive Vice President of COWI in Norway, Marius Weydahl Berg, you will act as his key operational right hand in producing high-quality content—including articles, message documents, presentations, social media posts, and more. You will be responsible for transforming his leadership team’s ideas and strategic perspectives into clear and actionable communication. This role spans the full spectrum of communication disciplines and will be carried out in close collaboration with colleagues in our Communication and Branding team.

This position is ideal for an experienced communicator who can establish themselves as a reliable and strategic partner to senior leaders — someone with the ability to listen, interpret, and translate executive input into inspirational content that moves people’s perceptions and actions. Communication plays a vital part in COWI's strategy, and you will join our global team of communication specialists, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Communication and Branding. Our team spans press relations, public affairs, design, branding, and employer branding, working closely with leaders and teams across the organisation to support our business objectives.  Key responsibilities include:

Acting as the primary communication partner to the Group Chief Business Development Officer and Executive Vice President of COWI in Norway and his leadership team, ensuring alignment with strategic goalsDeveloping and executing communication plans that support strategic priorities for Group Business Development and executive communication in Norway, in collaboration with colleagues in Communication and Branding and other key stakeholdersServing as the day-to-day sparring partner and trusted advisor to the Group Chief Business Development Officer and Executive Vice President of COWI in NorwayTaking operational responsibility for crafting strategic narratives across multiple channelsProducing engaging executive communications for internal platforms, including the intranet, town halls, seminars, and other leadership touchpointsSupporting leadership in Group Business Development and Norway with effective change communicationEnhancing the visibility of the Group Chief Business Development Officer and Executive Vice President of COWI in Norway on LinkedIn, including planning and delivering consistent, relevant postsDeveloping messaging and presentation materials for external conferences, stakeholder meetings, media engagements, and more, in collaboration with the press teamSupporting leaders across Group Business Development and Business Line Norway with communication training, as needed Your skills.

When working with urgency or tight deadlines, you remain calm, focused, and solutions-oriented—delivering high-quality results efficiently.

Your communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills are top tier, enabling you to build trusted relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders. You are structured, self-driven, and diligent, with the ability to balance short-term priorities while maintaining a long-term perspective.  On top of that, you will have:

A master’s degree in communication, business strategy, or a related fieldA minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior communication role within large corporations, listed companies, PR agencies, or established media outletsA proven track record of supporting executive leaders with hands-on internal and change communicationA detail-oriented approach and the ability to distil complex information into compelling narratives—comfortable working with data and numbersFluency in English and Norwegian (written and spoken), with English as your primary working languageA place to work and so much moreAt COWI, we work together with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world.
