CPE Router Test Engineer

We are a Dubai-based telecom company, and we require a test Engineer, to help with testing of routers and CPE units with Telecom Operator lab in Islamabad Pak. This job is based in Islamabad.IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY WORKING WITH VDSL or GPON ONT & YOU DON'T HAVE RECENT HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE OF TESTING OF SUCH EQUIPMENT, PLEASE DON'T APPLY!Glotech is looking for a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in quality assurance testing, troubleshooting ONT and VDSL devices, and supporting Triple Play services (Voice, IPTV, and Internet). You will work closely with the supplier’s off-shore R&D department to ensure the reliability, stability, and performance of our networking products.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to the R&D team for ONT, VDSL, and related network devices.Perform functional, regression, and system testing for new firmware and hardware releases.Test and troubleshoot Triple Play services – Voice (VoIP), IPTV, and Internet – across different WAN configurations.Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues related to WAN interfaces (PPPoE, DHCP, Static IP, VLANs, etc.).Support in verifying OLT-ONT interoperability and basic OLT configuration understanding.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve product defects.Maintain detailed documentation of test results, defects, and corrective actions.Participate in test case design, process optimization, and continuous improvement of QA practices.Qualifications1–2 years of specific experience in QA, testing, or R&D support of CPE routers and GPON.Good understanding of Triple Play services (Voice, IPTV, Internet) and broadband networking concepts.Familiarity with ONT, VDSL, OLT, and WAN technologies.Hands-on experience with network configuration, and troubleshooting tools.
