Job Description

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our finance team. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of individuals, businesses, and organizations to support sound lending and investment decisions. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing credit reports, and providing recommendations that balance risk with business opportunity. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, solid financial knowledge, and the ability to make objective, data-driven decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate the financial health of prospective and existing clients by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and payment historiesAssess credit risk using quantitative models, ratio analysis, and other financial metricsPrepare detailed credit assessments and present recommendations to management or credit committeesMonitor existing credit accounts for signs of deteriorating performance or potential risk exposureAssist in setting appropriate credit limits and terms based on financial analysis and company policiesConduct market and industry research to assess external factors that may impact credit riskSupport the development and implementation of credit risk management strategies and proceduresCollaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to ensure alignment on credit policies and customer managementMaintain accurate and organized credit files and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirementsPrepare regular reports and updates on credit portfolio performanceQualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldAdvanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CCRA) preferredExperience2–5 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, commercial lending, or financial analysisProven experience analyzing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsFamiliarity with credit scoring systems, financial modeling, and risk assessment toolsSkillsStrong analytical and quantitative abilities with excellent attention to detailProficiency in Excel and financial analysis software; experience with systems such as Moody’s RiskCalc, S&P Capital IQ, or Bloomberg is an assetAbility to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly and conciselyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong judgment and decision-making skills in evaluating credit riskAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in corporate, commercial, or consumer credit environmentsKnowledge of banking regulations, lending practices, and credit policy frameworksFamiliarity with financial modeling and statistical analysis toolsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary with performance-based bonusesComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits401(k) plan with company contributionOpportunities for professional development and certification supportA collaborative work culture focused on growth, integrity, and financial excellence
