If you want to combine seemingly incompatible things at your next employer, we warmly welcome you to HSBC.Being part of HSBC in München or Düsseldorf, you’ll help evolve and grow our business as a Credit Investment Analyst / Associate (m/f/d).Role:HSBC Alternatives is the alternatives investment platform of HSBC Asset Management, with ~87bn USD and is one of the largest investors in private markets globally.Investment Analyst / Associate role in the Private Markets team, focusing on Private Credit fund investments via primary and secondary opportunities across North America, Europe and Asia.In this role you willScreening and reviewing credit investment opportunities, focussing on private credit fund investments, with responsibility for risk evaluation.Supporting the team in managing and conducting the due diligence of investment opportunities. Originating investment opportunities and ideas to support investment dealflow.Presenting the investment thesis and participating in investment discussions with the Investment Committee.Supporting the wider team in the day-to-day activities of running a best-in-class global Alternatives investment program.Assisting in the monitoring and management of the existing portfolio, which includes maintaining dialogue with GPs, attending AGMs and LPACs / ABs and producing detailed investment monitoring reports.Responding to inbound requests from clients and assisting with their reporting and understanding of existing investments.Maintain and update key investment tools including origination, workflow and performance databases.You should apply if you havePassionate to enter the world of Private Credit / Private Markets investing, with a strong interest to understand how businesses work across a range of sectors and geographies.A University degree and 1-3 years of Investment Banking / financial industry experience, with a sound understanding of Corporate Finance and Private Markets.Strong commercial acumen resulting in sound risk / reward judgments.Strong presentation skills with ability to convince without hard-selling. Strong financial modelling skills and PowerPoint proficiency. Strong report writing skills.Excellent project management and organisational skills.Ability to work in a small project team to tight deadlines.
