Job Description

The Credit Risk Officer is responsible for assessing the financial strength and creditworthiness of our institutional clients to ensure credit exposure is managed within the bank’s risk appetite. This role involves close collaboration with the Institutional Banking Group and the Treasury Group, both in Singapore and in the Philippine Head Office, in evaluating business opportunities and ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory standards. Maintaining a sound credit portfolio contributes to the bank’s risk management strategy and to its overall success.Responsibilities:Assess the credit and financial strength of the firm’s corporate, financial sponsor and FI clients with focus on regional and multinational institutions Collaborate with the Institutional Banking Group to review loan transactions, determine appetite, and work towards timely approval Collaborate with the Treasury Group to review investment, funding and derivative transactions, and implement proper documentation, limits and mitigants Conduct timely credit evaluations for new and existing accountsAnalyze financial data and assess creditworthinessPrepare credit reports and recommendationsEnsure compliance with regulatory and internal policiesMonitor exposures at a counterparty, product and portfolio level, and manage risks proactivelyResearch industries and maintain updated credit recordsTrack financial benchmarks and early warning signalsSupport a strong credit and risk culture across the bankQualifications:At least 3 years’ work experience in credit risk management with specific experience in assessing opportunities with institutional clients Significant experience in loan products; some experience in treasury funding products and derivatives is helpfulKnowledge of lending agreements, ISDA and CSA, GMRA, and other relevant documentationMust demonstrate strong analytical, communication and organization skills, with proven experience in financial, credit and risk analysis, as well as negotiation, presentation and conflict managementBachelors degree relevant to the job, such as, but not limited to finance or business related coursesCandidates must be willing to work onsite and must hold either Permanent Residency or Citizenship status in Singapore.
