Credit Underwriter

Job Summary: The Credit Underwriter should establish credit facilities for Institutional Banking accounts to support the group's origination activities. He/she shall prepare timely, accurate and quality credit memos and ensure compliance with credit policies, bank policies, including credit, documentation, operational, and regulatory. He should perform in-depth financial analysis and evaluation of corporate and commercial accounts and assess the account viability and provide appropriate and sound recommendation.Educational and Professional Background:College graduate preferably major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or similar discipline.CPA, CFA, or MBA a plusAt least 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate credit analysis, financial analysis/modeling and projections gained from a financial institution Auditing background a plus but not requiredKnowledge and Skills Required:Highly analytical, detail oriented, exceptional financial acumen and ethics during the credit evaluation process. Must demonstrate knowledge of basic accounting theories, credit principles, lending functions, loan research and general credit policies. Must possess excellent organizational skills and with meticulous work habits to accurately evaluate many financial variables and reach appropriate conclusions.
